Fees

Background Check – $10

Certified copy of docket - $0.50

Administrative Time Pay Fee – $5 per month (A $5 per month fee is assessed on each person who pays court ordered fines/costs through an installment payment plan pursuant to Act 1262 of 1995. The $5 fee must be paid upon assessment each month and must be paid in addition to the amount set out in the payment plan. This fee will accrue until the balance is paid in full pursuant to A.C.A. 16-13-704(b)(1) as amended by HB2511 of 2005.

Court Room Etiquette

The Court’s goal is to provide superior customer service and to create a user-friendly atmosphere. In return, the Court expects all visitors to respect the Court and its staff. Here are several things you need to know before entering the courtroom.

  • It is important to understand the appropriate dress code for Court. This is a professional setting and you are encouraged to dress accordingly. Shirts and shoes are required. Hats must be removed before entering the courtroom.
  • All cell phones and pagers must be turned off before entering the courtroom.
  • There is no smoking, food or drinks allowed in the courtroom.
  • Weapons are strictly prohibited from the building.
  • There are no child care facilities provided by the Court. Children who become noisy will be required to remain outside the courtroom under adult supervision.
  • A court session begins when the bailiff states, “All rise.” Everyone in the courtroom should rise. The Judge will take his place on the bench. Please be patient and wait until your name is called. Once you have been called, you may proceed to the podium before Judge Hill.
  • Be on time and stay in the courtroom until your name is called.
  • Disruptive behavior such as talking, laughing, shouting or creating other loud disturbances will not be tolerated. The security staff may remove offenders from the building and the Judge may hold you in contempt of court.
  • Stand with proper posture when you speak and when the Judge speaks to you. Address the Judge as “Your Honor.”
  • Do not use slang unless it is a direct quote from the evidence stated as testimony.
  • Bring pertinent paperwork relevant to your charge(s). Always pass all documents to the court bailiff. Never directly approach the Judge’s bench.
